Key Insight: Advertised APY is meaningless without context. Always calculate: (1) actual yield after compounding, (2) impermanent loss risk, (3) gas costs, and (4) token price risk. Only then do you know your real expected return.

APY from APR Conversion
APY includes compounding; APR doesn't. Higher compounding frequency increases APY.
Impermanent Loss Formula
IL depends only on the price ratio change, not the direction. A 2x move up or 0.5x move down causes the same IL.
Gas Break-Even Calculation
Calculate the minimum time needed to recoup gas costs. If break-even exceeds your intended holding period, the position isn't worth it.
